Dead nettles, a family including Sage, are a group of plants with beautiful flowers or a variety of colours.
Often confused with a Stinging Nettle (Utrica dioica), they also have fine hairs covering stems and flowers, but are unable to sting when touched – hence the name ‘Dead’.
These are very common plants altough you are more likely to see the White Dead Nettle than the Yellow Archangel (see pictures on card).
