Wow! Thanks go to Charles of Touchwood Crafts for an informative, practical and inspiring day.We started the day with a few logs and a limited number of tools and, after some world class tutoring on the how, why and when of woods, we set to work.Having never used a drawhorse before, I was excited by the prospect of introducing a new tool (and risk) to our Forest School setting. Well, after ten minutes use, I had convinced our tutor for the day, Charles Ash, to send me the plans to create one myself. When I say myself, I mean with the help of the pupils. The day went so well, and we all gained so much new knowledge -mostly about tools we thought we already knew well – that we are already planning his next visit!
