A visit from Ben Fogle – one more hand on the wall!
Ben Fogle visits Forest HQ
What an honour to open the log cabin doors this week to the United Nations Patron of the Wilderness, Ben Fogle . He was keen to see what all the fuss was about as he awarded the school the prize for the Governments #GoUltraLow competition.
It was reassuring to find that Ben was as passionate in person as he is on the television; a true advocate for the same pivotal values that we promote here at Inspired Forest School training.
Adding his hand to the community
Once we had put the world to rights, I invited Ben to add his hand to our community of Forest School Leaders – to which he happily obliged (‘Yes, of course I can!) – adding that his children take part in Forest School in London.
He also recalled the Scandinavians innate love of nature, stating ‘…love the way they refer to nature as The Nature’. Ben’s closing words, as he went off to continue spreading his important messages was ‘ …well done for doing what you do.’ #jobdone
AD | Loved that 630 schools took part in the Hero to Zero Emission Miles Challenge by @goultralow.
Pupils across the UK helped save over 1,500kg of CO2 in a week by choosing more sustainable ways to travel.https://t.co/Cu3Bv56sky #GoUltraLow #maketheswitch #thefutureiselectric pic.twitter.com/tGAelJaZm0— Ben Fogle (@Benfogle) January 24, 2020
